BREAKING NEWS: Keller ISD rated recognized by TEA

BREAKING NEWS:Keller ISD rated recognized by TEA: "The Keller school district this year is rated 'recognized,' the state’s second-highest academic rating, the Texas Education Agency announced Friday.

The district is one of the largest to be rated recognized this year, Superintendent James Veitenheimer said in a statement Thursday.

“It’s very rewarding to see how our newly aligned curriculum has helped our students reach a new level of success,” Veitenheimer said.

The district had been rated 'academically acceptable,' the third-highest rating equivalent to a passing grade, for the past five years.

Ratings are assigned each year by the Texas Education Agency and are based on student scores on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, completion rates for students in grades 9-12 and annual dropout rates for seventh- and eighth-graders."
