BREAKING KNEES!!!

The world is a better place today.

Sure, I can be an a-hole, even loathesome. I have learned that it's good for people to hate someone who enjoys being a prick - so I am embracing it. I even despise myself sometimes when I find Skip Bayless agrees with some of the things I've thought (Eagles in the Super Bowl!). And am as big a Pats hater as anyone.

Sure, I've jokingly wished out loud that I wanted Tom Brady to succumb to serious injury - I even mentioned that it should be his knee (somehow, fate forgot that I mentioned this should happen at the ESPYs and that he should fall into Derek Jeter and injure his knee too, but 1 out of 2 is a start, I suppose). But other than Tim McCarver's voicebox I've never wished specific harm to any athlete or pseudo-celebrity not named Rachel Ray.

iTunes 8 and iPod Nano hot off the shelf

Steve Jobs kicked off the much anticipated Let's Rock event in San Francisco with a joke about how his death had been exaggerated. But things soon got serious with the news we had predicted about iTunes 8.

After the usual marketing and statistical waffle, as interesting as it was recounting that there are some 8.5 million songs available on iTunes around the planet, as well as 125,000 podcasts and even 3500 hours of TV, the iTunes 8 specific announcements started.

First up was confirmation that high definition television content is to be included in iTunes 8. Initially these will apparently be restricted to the US and cost USD $2.99 an episode.

Stripper accused of raping best man - National - smh.com.au

"A best man, allegedly raped by a stripper with a sex toy, had stepped in for the groom who 'wasn't interested' in his bucks' party's strip show, a court has heard.

A witness told the Melbourne Magistrates Court the alleged victim had been egged on by a cheering crowd of up to 30 men to perform with the hired stripper, Linda Maree Naggs, after the groom sat down after spending less than a minute with her.

'All the boys were there wanting a show,' he said.

Naggs, 39, has been charged with raping the best man who told police he was sexually penetrated with a vibrator during the party on the Mornington Peninsula last September.

The alleged victim, who cannot be identified, had his pants pulled down to his knees and his top off when Naggs was passed a vibrator by a female assistant, the court heard.

One witness said the best man had looked uncomfortable throughout the performance and was forced on to all fours by Naggs who was naked and wearing a sex toy.

'She went behind him and pulsated to push him to the ground,' he said.

The witness said he heard the man scream and get to his feet.

''Why did you do that for ... you didn't have to do that,'' he said the man yelled."
